Great but use advanced installation methods to avoid problems

Beautiful. Looks good and functional. Since some of the reviewers had trouble editing, I've added a few tips. To avoid slipping: Before installation, use alcohol or dish soap to remove a thin film of oil from the seals and inner post bracket and clean the seat post. I took this a step further and used 100 grit sandpaper to lightly sand all the interior surfaces. Be sure to clean everything after sanding. I then took the second step and applied a small amount of blue (non-hardening) thread lock to all internal surfaces and let it dry overnight. Now the strut stays in place when riding on bumpy and uneven gravel roads, whereas before I couldn't ride in a driveway without changing position. Another tip: make sure the screws aren't aerospace grade so you can loosen them. To tighten them without breaking, first tighten one, then the other, then go back and repeat, alternately tightening them a little more. This will provide even pressure on each end of the clip for a more secure fit. Once secure, tighten with a small torque. The closer your hand is to the working end of the hex wrench in the set screw, the better off you will be at avoiding over-torque. And before you thread the screws, apply some blue thread lock to them to prevent them from loosening from vibration. Enjoy!
