I have the small size for a standard 10 gallon glass tank. I chose this item because I was on a budget and it was one of the cheaper options and had decent reviews. The glass pad will remove the algae but it will take several passes especially on more stubborn dirt but in my experience this is normal with this type of scrubber. The magnet isn't the strongest, and given the weight, it falls off fairly easily, especially when trying to get through corners. It's quite bulky so trying to clean my HOB filter, heater and live plants is a real pain. I have a sand pad so because of the bulkiness I can't get too close to the bottom without the sand getting stuck in the pad. Every time I use it, I have to take it out from the bottom several times. I understand that diving with large tanks can be useful, but to be honest it can't really "swim" away from you with a 10 gallon tank. I plan to eventually replace it with one of the smaller float types.
