Many of today's chargers are cheap junk that will boil your battery once or twice and then stop working. (Schumacher, anyone?). You shouldn't pay that much for a basic charger that doesn't, but that's exactly where we are today. In any case, wearing kid gloves, this charger charges the battery very slowly. I wanted to make sure some of the batteries I used for the homemade solar generator were fully charged before connecting them in series, so I charged them individually with this charger. To charge a 12 volt, 1200 watt hour, 100 amp hour battery, this charger took about 8 hours. Charging is slow, but at least it's easy on the battery. No batteries were dead. Charging stopped automatically once the battery was fully charged. It has a useful and informative interface.
