Wearing hearing protection through a hat is difficult. You really have to fight it to get it on the right track. I use a screen rather than a clear protector because the clear one is always scratched so easily I keep it until I really need it. The screen is fine, but it reduces the light by almost 3-4 tones. . It's like wearing sunglasses. And because it's a mesh, it also hides small details. In a pinch, this isn't bad because there's airflow, but it's hard to see in a store environment, which is what I'm using it for. And it has glare on the inside of the screen when I'm outside. So if you're deciding between this and the version with a helmet, go for the helmet. This reduces glare and makes the protection easier to use. I had to choose this option.
