Review on Capresso Mini Drip Coffee Maker - 5-Cup, Black & Stainless Steel by Julie Weigel

I've had this coffee maker for exactly 2 months and this morning it was making all sorts of gurgling noises that never stopped. I only brewed 2 out of 5 cups but continued to gargle. Although I know I filled the water up to level 5, I double checked. I didn't see anything wrong so I poured the rest of the water into a glass measuring cup and 2 small black shards appeared along with the water. Also, the top never fully closed, but the pieces didn't seem to come from there. Really, isn't it asking too much to ask for a decent little coffee maker that I paid $39 for? I take good care of my coffee maker and it usually lasts for years. I want a cup of coffee and back!
