They were needed in a new house with lots of steps in and out of the rooms. Our dog is old and had difficulty going up and down these steps. Non-slip strips are already helping him to hold on to the steps. Barefoot they are a bit rough but very tolerant. The roller included in the kit makes it very easy to apply the adhesive without wrinkles or bubbles.
