This paper surprised me because I found it very bad but in the end I liked it really liked it. It is important to remember that this paper does not work with solvents. An artist on YouTube reviewed this paper and the artist was very dissatisfied. The artist tried to mix the crayons with thinner, but the paper ended up deforming a lot, and the worst thing was that the paper didn't come out completely flat. So if you want to use thinners, try mixed media (or hot-pressed watercolor paper). Suitable for colored pencil and thinner. I love Strathmore colored pencil paper. I do not use a solvent that suits me. The paper tooth is comparable to the Canson XL Mix Media (if you want to get a good idea of what the paper tooth is like), but the Strathmore colored pencil paper does the job much better in my opinion. I can layer as much to get a touch of color or do gradients. It seems to me that the Canson XL Mix Media no longer accepts colored pencils. I'm having trouble filling the paper tooth so I have to press harder to fill the paper tooth. But I don't have to press hard on the Strathmore Colored Pencil paper. I really like how the dots (teeth) look on this paper when I lightly color (shade) them with colored pencils. What I like most about this paper is that (once you have enough colored pencil on the tip of the paper) you can polish to get a smooth blend and it looks very pretty. In general, I like to layer and blend with solvent-free colored pencils. This paper isn't for everyone, so I recommend trying a pattern from Strathmore or a craft store.
