Most thimbles are designed for small hands. In general, most men cannot use most thimbles on the market. This is a very good quality set of thimbles made specifically for large hands. They are ergonomically designed to fit properly. The protection is located exactly where the sewing/embroidery needle touches the ball of your finger. They are long enough to cover the underside of the fingertip, wide enough to protect the sides of the fingertip and precisely curved to provide dexterity when worn. Leather and front cover are perfect for my needs. I can comfortably wear them on my thumb and first two fingers. The best thing about leather thimbles is that I can wear them for hours without getting my fingers sweaty. If I ever lose them I will definitely buy this set again.
