I put it in a Syba 2.5" U2 mobile stand with a 3.5 to 5.25 converter. I used a DiLinKer M.2 to U.2 cable to connect to the M.2 slot on my motherboard. We now have an easily removable M2 2280. It's worth noting that the caddy needs SATA power for the M2 to work, this was a bonus for me as I can use the KingWin 6 SATA port power switch to turn it on - or turn it off. Using Y-power cables, I'm going to connect one set of drives to one switch and the other sets to different switches, which makes it easy to switch OSes and configure - love it. I haven't done official speed tests , but it seems very fast, as fast as it was when M.2 was on the motherboard. My only downside to this solution is the high price of U2 backplanes and mobile media. I used this hardware solution as I don't like it You can use software multiboot.
