Really like these frames. They look like wood, although the frame is made of plastic. There is glass to protect the painting. The mats that come with it aren't bad. My disappointment is that there isn't a good way to hang them on the wall. I bought them to frame some small drawings that will be exhibited. The hanging system requires a picture wire on the back. There are no grommets or D-rings on the frames to attach the wire and there is no good way to do it. The little tabs that hold the back to the frame have holes in them and I thought I might have some use for those holes, but the tabs are at different distances from the top of the frame. I could buy D-rings but the back is soft chipboard and the D-rings are attached with a screw that appears to be longer than the thickness of the back and I'm afraid they will fall out of the back anyway. If I could figure out how to attach a wire to them I would give them 5 stars.
