I have tried different mounts for my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and each has been very disappointing. This product really does what it promises. It holds the phone perfectly both in a protective case and without it. I've used it quite a bit on multiple rides in both slick and less-than-ideal road conditions, and it holds the device in place even if I forget to use the included stretch wrap over the screen. I use a weatherproof waterproof case for this. and it works great. I would highly recommend this device to anyone who wants one, except there is simply no one-size-fits-all answer to expensive electronics. Many of the all-in-ones rely on a zippered pocket, and they all leak in real weather or the phone overheats on a clear day here in Florida. When your device is in a case that offers true leak protection, you end up with too many layers to use the touchscreen or side controls effectively. does not limit your control. I thought the bungee would get in the way but as I said I've used it a few times and the device is locked in there. In addition, the bungee can be easily removed from the road if necessary. Great product and I am very glad my search is over.
