Review on πŸ‘“ Alumni RX03 Men's Reading Glasses with RX-Able Aluminum Frames in Dark Blue, +2.50 Optical-Quality Strength by Mike Hernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lightweight, sheer, and fits my head better than average.

I have several pairs of reading glasses that I call "disposable glasses". They are better made and more durable. Looking at them you might think they're heavy, but they're pretty light. And even though they're light, they're tough. I'm not very good with my reading glasses and they tend to bend and twist when I hang them in my pocket or when I put something on them. It looks like they can handle my abuse. UNPACKING: The glasses I received are exactly the same as in the photo. They come in a sturdy plastic case that snaps open (see photo). There is a plastic button to open the case. This case should have no problem protecting the goggles in a bag or tossing them in the glove box. A nice bonus was a microfiber cloth that came free. The product description says they weigh 0.8 ounces. I put them on a kitchen scale and that's exactly what I got. USE: There are two things that really intrigued me about these glasses: the rimless frame and the spring loops. I love the look of rimless frames, but I love it even more when the bottom of the frame doesn't block my view of what's at my feet. Spring hinges are almost a must for me. I wear a 7-5/8 hat - big on top, usually XL. Most reading glasses, even those with spring loops, fit snugly around my temples. They leave an indentation at ear level, so when I take off my glasses you can tell they were there. Not so with these. While I'm sure they will fit a smaller head, they fit me perfectly. Another benefit of spring hinges is that they can be abused. I know that you need two hands to put on and take off your glasses. I never do. Thanks to the aluminum frame and high-quality hinges, they will last a long time. How good are you at reading? Excellent. Absolutely transparent lenses without distortion. I used 1.5 power points and felt like I had to go up a bit. Going to 2.0 is great for reading, but watching TV is too much for me. I wish they were medium strong. I have never had such comfortable reading glasses. Although I have cheap reading glasses in the car and some places around the house, I wear them when I'm actually reading a book. and convenient, I would certainly understand acquiring them for this purpose. Oh, and they look really good. I got these discounted glasses for a promise to leave an honest review. Like you, I rely on reviews to guide my purchasing decision. Hope mine helped you. ADVANTAGES: Lightweight and durable. Attractive aluminum frame. rimless. Suitable for different head sizes. Durable pouch and microfiber cloth included. CONS: I wish they had a wider range of lens powers.
