I was skeptical at first because the first two I tried blew up straight away. but a little voice in my head suggested that maybe it was a lamp and not a lightbulb. So after replacing the touch dimmer in the bulb I tried again and the bulbs worked great. I appreciate them a lot because lamps of this type are very hard to find nowadays. I've had this lamp for many years (changed the dimmer twice) and it has sentimental meaning to me, so I find a bulb with the right wattage. and SIZE (the tricky part) was a gift to me.
