If you had asked me five days ago if this product worked, I would have said I wasn't sure. How to judge a cat's behavior You are one of the most unpredictable creatures I have ever known. I received the item quickly on the expected delivery date 4 days ago. Almost as soon as I pocketed it, both cats fell into a long sleep on adjacent pieces of furniture. There is a disclaimer in the product description stating that Comfort Zone is not a tranquilizer. I believe that's true. I think the pheromone release does the trick right away and relaxes the cats. About two days later, my husband and I were shocked to see the old cat walking past the new cat without hissing and even playing with it! I felt like we had made a breakthrough. Plus, the new cat has practically stopped peeing outside of the tray. (There was a small incident, but nothing like this has ever happened). I should note that during this time we switched bedding types which may have contributed to him stopping peeing around the house. However, this morning the cats seem to have taken 4 steps back. The old cat took every opportunity to intimidate the new cat and was VERY angry and aggressive. She even attacked my husband and our dog. I sat there wondering why the behavior changed so suddenly when they were feeling so good after all! That's when I noticed the Comfort Zone plug-in was DISCONNECTED on the coffee table. My husband must have taken it off the wall while building in the hallway. Eureka! I quickly put the insert back into the wall and as I write this review my cats have been sleeping peacefully 4 feet apart for the past 3 hours. Soon they will wake up and hopefully return to the peaceful state of Kumbai they had previously attained. I believe in this product.
