While recovering from an operation, I had to work at the dinner table instead of in the home office. I was able to run the cable from my office modem to my laptop/dual monitor docking station with little effort. It's good that the cable runs evenly along the baseboards and under the carpets on the doorsteps. I did not cut it permanently as this cord is only used for my recovery. However, I find that they will last for many years if attached to baseboards and on/over doors.
