The bar against which you press the paper from above shifts a little. I didn't know this when I first got it and I did because the cuts came out uneven. I've had it for a few months and only now have I been able to fix it by rearranging it. However, you should still be careful and use guides (which are not full lines but broken crosses) as thin printer paper can slip under this guide and create an uneven cut. It cuts well and seems strong enough but I really rely too much on that rod on top and would choose a different product if I had to do it again. This image shows uncut printer paper. I would'
