There is no slot in the case. If a jumper is attached to the Raspberry Pi's pins, the top part will not attach properly. There's no ventilation either, meaning a radiator might not make a noticeable difference due to the limited space. Opinions are mixed on whether or not you should install a heatsink when building a retro gaming console, but for just a few bucks more, it's better to be safe than sorry. I will replace the case before long-term use of Retrotropie. This is a very good case if you want something thin and simple. Everything fits together and nothing looks cheap. I can't overlook the extra millimeter that would be required to be compatible with a jumper wire. --- UPDATE --- I have upgraded the review from 3 stars to 4 stars. The reason for this is that the case is actually quite nice and simple. The top plate was easy enough to modify with a Dremel tool that there was enough room for the jumper wire and the plate still snapped perfectly into place. As for the actual core temperature under load, everything was fine. I added a small script to log the core temperature about every 30 seconds and the highest recorded temperature under load was about 70.3C. I'd say averaged around 66.5Β°C. This has been reported when using RetroPie to play Vagrant Story, Quest 64, and Legend of Dragoon for about 3 hours each. However, the house is kept at around 75 feet Fahrenheit, which may contribute to the device's lower core temperature. If you live in a hotter climate like Texas, a case with a fan might be your best option. I ordered this case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012GCLR6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and will check the core temperature with a fan and heatsink. I'll report the results of the interior temperature test here after I've delivered the new case.
