I love the design and symbolism of this phoenix necklace, although I can see where the other reviewer got the leaping dolphin sentiment. So it could actually be both. The blue crystal is quite dark, not as bright as it appears online here. It's definitely blue, but not as watery as I thought from the photos. The chain is high quality, not cheap, but not great either. It has a thin chain interspersed with small jump rings, no chain extender so you can play with the length more. And ended up with a tiny jump ring that was difficult for me to put on, so I'm going to replace the chain. The pendant itself is a nice weight and looks beautiful. It's smaller and the phoenix or dolphin design isn't as obvious when I'm wearing it. Basically, it conjures up a raindrop for those looking at it. Either way, it's a nice addition to my jewelry collection, but not an instant favorite.
