You get what you pay for. The Striker and Flint are surprisingly effective, as is the height of the whistle. The band is quite large so if you have small wrists it can be a bit large even when fully tightened. Mind you, the compass is pretty accurate (you really weren't expecting accuracy, were you?). Note, however, that the readings are amomolar unless you remove the bracelet before checking the direction. The striker is magnetized and with its help the compass acts on your wrist. It took me a while to figure out why it was always wrong. All in all a fun and useful little thing to have on your wrist.
