Review on GVS SPR551 Elipse Integra Nuisance by Kenneth Witte

GVS Elipse Integra P100 mask, model SPR549, size S/M, very high quality. It comes with a P100 filter, although it's interchangeable and compatible with other GVS filters, and you have many other filter options (dust only, mold, odor, organic vapors, pesticides, acid gases, etc.) depending on your needs. The silicone is soft and comfortable and the one-way exhalation valve makes it easy to breathe; So you can wear this mask comfortably for a long time. The entire mask is lightweight and a little less bulky than other products I've used (3M). Adjustment and fit are easy, just 2 straps; Put on the mouth/breathing protection part and pull back the head and lower straps, done. Be sure to check the size chart before purchasing, but BEWARE this is NOT a full face mask like I thought it would be. Some of the eyes are NOT sealed, allowing smoke and gas to enter. These are built-in "goggles" only, goggles. I only found out it wasn't after receiving it and looking at it carefully (I later found in the fine print that it was just "glasses"). When I put this mask on the eye/lens part I found that the seal didn't match my face 100% and then I also found the vents on the seal which prompted me to dig deeper and add the above Find. As for points, it's not bad. It's still very comfortable, it's very crisp, with great coverage and protection; and I think for a use/environment where you might be using eye protection (e.g. cutting/shaving metal) this will probably give you better protection than just goggles. Lenses also need to be protected from fogging and scratches. This product was designed and manufactured in England. Definitely a quality and reliable product. Good price for such a nice product. It's just that the respirator part usually costs that much, so I just consider the "goggles" part as a bonus. It has to be a 5 star product; I'm only giving them one star because they really should emphasize that this isn't a "full face mask" (and it's just built-in goggles).
