Review on YONEX Nanoray Light 18i: The Ultimate Black Graphite Badminton Racquet by Ryan Pollock

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent value for money

This is a decent, really light racquet. These 5u weigh around 75-80lbs and the crazy max tension is 30lbs. I've re-tensioned it on a 26lb BG66 and it's pretty decent, I seriously doubt that higher tension would give this racquet any benefit. Here is my review of this racquet after using it for a month: # Strengths: - Super light (lightest in my 5 racquet pack) and a really good defensive racquet - Ultra light racquet allows you to hit consistent power shots - Decent control - fast shipping (got it in two days) - if you have never played with a 5U racket and want to experiment with it, then this is a great racket as it is decent quality and not very expensive. # Weaknesses: - The original string is not good because it is strung at a lower tension - Made in China. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Chinese made goods and most of them are decent quality (there are some bad ones but what can I say); but in the case of Yonex racquets, in my experience, there is a noticeable difference in feel between Yonex racquets made in Japan and racquets made in China. For example, racquets made in China are a bit shorter than racquets made in Japan and this can really affect your accuracy. - Poor quality racquet coating. want to buy) if you're thinking of experimenting with a lightweight racquet.
