TLDR: At this price of about $25, it is competitive with other models. Honestly, your laptop either has adequate cooling or it doesn't, so there's no point in upgrading and spending $50 or more on a laptop cooling pad. The pad simply allows your system to perform at its best, but no better. Keep this in mind when shopping. I ordered 2 and 1 broke immediately. The exchange worked. Before and after, it lowered the temperature of my laptops by about 3-4 degrees Celsius at maximum load. However, this is partly due to the free ventilation under the laptop. You can place a small block at each corner, elevate the laptop 1 inch, and still get roughly the same results. But a cooling pad is a more stable and attractive solution than random items supporting the laptop. The fan pushes a small flow of air, but still not much. There's just enough airflow to feel it easily, which likely helps drop the temperature another 1-2 degrees. Its very cheap build quality and it is very easy to break due to the thin cable connection. If you're gentle with it and keep it on the table all the time, you should be fine. But if you put it in your pocket and go on a trip, it's likely to break due to bad cable connections. The frame itself is fine, withstanding a fall off the ladder while still retaining its rigidity. The noise level is acceptable, it is definitely quieter than laptop fans. Remember this is just bad cooling. You won't deserve better cooling by paying over $50 for premium models. Your laptop's internal cooling is the only deciding factor. The pads only help to reach the peak of normal cooling, but no better.
