Very happy with the brightness. After a few weeks I can't judge the durability. It seems like a good value except: But a "function" is a nightmare for me. I put a light outside as part of the Thanksgiving theme. This usage required me to have all the lights on all the time. The power regulator, which sits between the power plug and the string of lights, allows you to choose from 8 modes by pressing a button on the regulator. The always-on mode is mode 8. Unfortunately, when the light goes out (in my case it's the light switch in my house), the power goes out. The controller automatically starts in mode 1 (variable mode for switching between light segments and dimming). So when I turn on my display, I have to go outside, find the controller, and press the button seven times. This is necessary every time I turn it on, at any time of the day and in any weather. REAL IRRITATION!
