To be honest, oil based moisturizers don't absorb into my skin. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery is a good example. I saw that olive oil was included as one of the ingredients but thought it should be ok as it's creamier with some oil added but my skin just didn't like it. I also find this to be more of a heavy moisturizer than the light ones I've seen in several reviews. The first time I accidentally applied too much making my face look like a fat ball even though I was just stroking quickly with one finger. After that I applied very sparingly to both face and neck but all the same results for me. It just lay on my skin and created an oily sheen. It didn't cause breakouts, but it didn't moisturize either. So if you don't like oil based face products I wouldn't recommend this DHC night cream.
