Dell Curved Gaming Monitor 27 " 165Hz Curved QHD Gaming Monitor (2560 x 1440).

I bought it for gaming, it's 27 inches tall and has a 165Hz refresh rate. However, I can't set it to 165Hz. It is locked at 65 Hz. My computer recognizes the Dell monitor but won't let me change the refresh rate. I have updated my Dell monitor firmware, updated Windows, updated my graphics card software/firmware. I still can't change the refresh rate. I spoke to Dell online about this. They said you can't get 1165Hz unless you use a DP cable. I can't use a DP cable because my graphics card only has mini DP cable connectors. You said you only get 144Hz with HDMI. I'm using HDMI but still can't change the refresh rate! Very disappointed. I have AMD Radeon R9 280 series graphics card, Windows 10 64-bit for home, Cyber Power PC.
