Review on MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4 225/45 R18 95Y summer by Micha Osiski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn³'t expect the quality to be this good.

215/45 R17, bought at the beginning of February as soon as it appeared on sale here as soon as it did. Based on input from one of the well-known sites in the UK (they experience spring significantly earlier there), as well as a positive experience utilizing PilotSport3, the conclusion was drawn. I set it for the beginning of April and immediately went on a trip of 1000 kilometers, as well as a trip of 0.+1. At the same moment, there was a lot of noise. In the month of May, the temperature increased, the noise level decreased nearly entirely, and the rain began falling, which made it possible to travel on dry land. And, perhaps most crucially, a sense of ease! When using tires with a diameter of 205/55 R16 on the same vehicle, there is virtually no discernible change in smoothness; however, the enjoyment of cornering is eliminated. And for some inexplicable reason, there is no rutting either; I'm reminded of the Bridgestone 215 wide, when the steering wheel seemed to have a life of its own. Between the months of April and the beginning of June, 8 kilometers (nearly the entire track) have been covered, and I am confident in recommending rubber for dynamic driving in general, as this is the purpose for which it was developed. At first, I was concerned about the low profile, as the height of the rubber on a 215/45 tire is 97mm. However, I have already caught good holes, and the corners of the curbs, the disks clattered, and there was no effect on the rubber. wore out after two years of usage; the total mileage was 35,000 kilometers; when subjected to a strong downpour, it started to swim; I was totally content with the rubber. I wanted a change, so I decided to get the GoodYear Eagle F1 Assymetric3 video game, but I ended up going back to playing on my PlayStation 4. I have attached a photo showing the amount of wear that has occurred over the course of two years and 35 thousand kilometers of aggressive and rapid spinning over 90% of the highway.

Pros
  • - the track is not felt - the track does not screech in corners and at the start - the course crosses the Ring Road full of water twice - SOFT
Cons
  • Possible quick wear, although 8,000 kilometers of testing has not yet shown it. ate info: tires have been driven 10,000 kilometers, the vehicle has front-wheel drive, the weight of the car is 1600 kilograms, and the majority of the mileage has been driven on highways at a speed of 130 kilometers per hour. The remaining tread depth of the front tires is now measured at 6 millimeters, while that of the rear tires is measured at 7 millimeters. I didn't bother to measure with the new ones, but I would guess that they are 7-8mm.

I changed two sets over the summer, since the drive is completely worn out uniformly all four at once

Its pros: Excellent road holding, at high speeds like on rails. Got cons: Asymmetry for me personally
