This ballport is not safe, my husband has four stitches in his big toe. If it's up, it's not stable. Arms become legs when standing upright. However, the molded plastic supports on the sides of the ballport DO NOT hold the metal legs securely. The edges of the plastic on the bottom of the ballport are pretty sharp, the stroller collapsed (no warning or sound) and my husband ended up in an ambulance. We bought this because the device was plastic and had wheels, we ended up with four stitches because the latch on the side of the strap isn't good enough to hold the legs in place.
