Review on πŸ”¨ BOSTITCH BTFP12233 Smart Point Nailer" - "BOSTITCH BTFP12233 Smart-Point Nail Gun by Dave Brummet

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic power, headless. Be sure to spend the extra $30!

Fantastic driving power and a really trouble free head. I bought a quality Makita from Revain and was terribly disappointed and sent it back. See reviews on this block. He couldn't drive a nail (a nail at a 45 degree angle) into bars longer than 3/4 inch, despite having to run the gun at maximum pressure and slightly higher (not good for gun life). In addition, the gun spoiled the softwood on almost every disc. I like Makita's other tools but I am sad that they are releasing such a poor quality product. longer pins I had to drive in (2 inches +). I have 3 stairs and balconies that need to be finished and I will drive 100 nails into the balustrades. If I only had them partially and I had to hammer/nail every punch that would be a bear, not only in terms of time and hassle, but in terms of the need to make all the hundreds of enlarged holes a nail punch would make, refill and grind. I decided to spend the extra $30 and give Bostitch a try. Man. What can I say. No damage, easy to drive 2" pegs in hardwood oak baluster. and oak hardwood steps with ideal pin sinking when the gun is operated at only 80% of its maximum pressure. I highly recommend this Bostitch Pin Driver Gun. It's good, good (and good again) and well worth the few extra bucks. You will not regret it. I hope this review helps you make a purchasing decision. If yes, please vote for it. Thanks - Jim
