Over the years I have learned to take it apart, clean it and put it back together. The YouTube videos were very helpful. I've changed belts a few times over the years. I decided to buy a new one as the other one was about 12 years old and if I started replacing the belts and outer bumpers we would be on our way. and to be honest the other reason I replaced it was because the motor was really starting to pull. Well I've used it maybe 4 or 5 times and while it's definitely quieter I don't know if it performs any better than the one it replaced. I recommend if you still have one, keep working until it dies. The price hasn't changed for many years, so keep an eye on it. If it seems like it is rising, replace it. But so far the only difference I can find is that it's now blue instead of black.
