Excellent light - headlights and reflectors

I like this light. Turns night into day. Not sure if it's 960 lumens, I don't have a multimeter to check but it's bright. The other day my friend and I went channel surfing at Gilbert Az. and he just bought a rechargeable usb drive from a bike shop and was amazed by the 550 lumens it would put out. I lit mine and almost completely washed them out. The medium setting is still quite bright. As I said my friend has 550 lumens of light and the medium was just a hair dimmer and could see its light above mine. Good: This light has 2 switches, one for the halo, the other for the main light. The main light has multiple settings: bright, medium and low, it will blink if you hold it down. The Halo features 2 power modes and a flash. The appearance of the lantern is also beautiful, it is also quite small. The setup is simple and the straps for attaching to the handlebars or other location are pretty straightforward. Installation took less than 5 minutes. It actually took me longer to figure out where I wanted it than actually installing it. Bright, bright, bright. I'm not sure I can say enough that this light is bright. Also, this light gives more spot light than the flood light I was looking for. I wanted to be able to light things up from a distance and that helped. I can easily see things over 30 meters away. The Bad: So in this light, there are only a few bad things, and they don't matter. 1. The halo part of the light is useless when the main light is on. The light is so bright that it only blurs the halo, even the strobe function cannot be seen when the main light is on. Now that it only has a halo, it emits a fairly wide range of light that allows you to see things around you. (It would be nice in a cave because there is 360 degrees of light.) Which brings me to my next point. 2. If you have a halo, there is no top baffle and the halo shines straight at you as if giving you (slight blindness). I'm thinking of wrapping that part of the halo with electrical tape so it doesn't glow.3. When you connect the flashlight to the battery, the back button and ring turn green and glow. I'm not sure how much power it takes or how quickly the battery drains, but I understand the reason why it lights up so it can be seen in the dark. (I think) Overall I really like this light and my only regret is that I didn't buy a second one for my mountain bike.
