I live in a dry, windy climate in northwest Washington and my skin is already very sensitive. I was prone to cystic acne before I started taking prescription Retin-A and using this cleanser. A few years ago I was still buying expensive facial cleansers and moisturizers from luxury brands (Ole Henriksen, Glamglow, Clinique etc.) and my skin was everywhere. After visiting a dermatologist, she suggested switching to a really mild, unflavored drugstore lotion to moisturize my face, and Cerave was one of the brands she recommended. That's how I came across this cleanser - I was so enthusiastic about the light Cerave lotion that one day I spontaneously decided to buy this cleanser in a drugstore. This changed everything for me. It doesn't strip moisture from the skin and is also a really effective make-up remover (although it won't remove everything, especially waterproof material, so you'll need to use a stronger toner or make-up remover). after). I loved this cleaner so much when I first bought it and it ran out that I bought this JUMBO size when it launched last year. It was very helpful there, especially since you probably already know that if you live by the sea, salty air damages your skin. I love the price too! I will never go back to those expensive name brand cleaners again. TL; DR - I would highly recommend to anyone with sensitive skin and/or acne prone. It is very gentle on the face and also effectively removes makeup.
