They are small in both length and width. My daughter is a size 10, I ordered a size 11 for her and it fits just right. Your fingers are right on the edge. Otherwise it's a good shoe. She says they are comfortable even though they are small. They have regular laces and seem to give their feet adequate support and protection. Also not sure how durable they are as they are made from lighter materials which is good for summer but not good enough to withstand child abuse.
