Review on SlideBelts Mens Canvas Belt Gunmetal Men's Accessories and Belts by Blake Mannasseh

Outstanding Design: Accessories

After reading many good and bad reviews of SlideBelts, I decided to give it a try. I've been using it for about 2 months now and I can say that I'm completely satisfied with it. Customization is great, with clear "click" feedback that doesn't even remotely feel weak. Love the buckle design, no external lever or button to accidentally press or snag on clothing and release. I went with the cheapest version, the canvas belt material so I wouldn't get too upset if it failed, but this material was great and holds up very well to the faux leather backing. Unlike other reviewers, I don't change the buckle between the straps, so I can't say what will happen if I do. I tend to tighten the strap and see NO tension or stretch at the end stop in the buckle. The holes for the pressure teeth are exactly the same as the day I assembled them. Within two months I wear it for just a few days, usually daily to work, on everything from jeans to trousers to slacks. I initially cut it long as I intended to use it for both regular carry and concealed carry (IWB holster) and as far as I can tell it didn't stretch more than 1/4 inch. After a while I might shorten it a bit. The finish of the buckle looks the same as the day I opened the box. Overall I would say this belt is a winner! It replaced my previous belt after wearing this whole grain device for almost 20 years (still in service, only needs to be worn for yard and farm work). The price seems high, but in reality you will still spend a lot of money for a customization and fit/finish.
