My family loves our steaks, chicken and even schnitzel (as long as they have cold beer). So I had the chance to wear out a lot of meat mallets. Well after using this tool to tenderize meat at a large family BBQ last weekend I can say we found the best tool for the job! This tenderizer from Mountain Grillers is every meat lover's dream hammer. Firstly, it's beautifully designed, with a polished finish, it's dishwasher safe, which is a definite plus. The hammer fits comfortably in my hand and the head is perfectly weighted and balanced for impact and softening. Other hammers I've tried have had their heads come off in the middle of a hit because they were too heavy for the tool. This tenderizing tool doesn't slip in my hand and is very effective for flattening cuts of meat in seconds and using the textured side as a seasoning, allowing my grandmother's famous Texas spice recipe to hit every bite - mmmm. ! And they have a handy hook on the end so I can hang them up instead of stuffing them in my kitchen drawer - I'm a very happy customer and will be ordering from Mountain Grillers again.
