UPDATE: So I got these headphones on 9/2. bought, today is the 27.12. They seem to shut down more often than the first few minutes. I don't know if it's related to the phone or the headphones, but it seems to be happening more with one of my pairs than the other. To fix this I have to go to my device to forget the headphones and then I have to fix them. Then they are fine. I have two pairs and they get used together for about 36 hours over the weekend. I always have one charge and the other in my ears, have been for 4 months. So I wear them to work to mostly listen to audio books. I work in a machine shop and can't tell you the exact decibel level, but I know it's within the OSHA limit that requires earplugs, I've always worn earplugs anyway. They block outside noise almost as well as similarly designed earbuds when not in use. Sound quality is not that important to me. As far as I can tell, the quality is pretty good. Easy to combine and the buttons speak for themselves. Now for the cons. The specified battery life is 10 hours. I didn't expect to get all 10 because it is. I have a full charge of 7-8 hours. It could work my whole 12 hour day without charging in the middle. Luckily, I just bought a second device, so I listen until the low battery indicator comes on, then turn it off. The cable doesn't like to stay in place. The attached clip is unusable. I have found that the best way is to place the cord at the nape of your neck and cross the earbuds in front. It may seem silly, but it works. The last two are pretty trivial, the latter is the only thing that really bothers me. Sometimes it turns off out of nowhere. My cell phone is in my pocket and suddenly my audio book stops and I only hear "off". So I have to turn it off and on again and it connects immediately. It lasts 30 seconds to a minute and it's just a headache in my back when I'm busy.
