I was surprised at how quickly my 6 month old kitten got through it. She loves it and I may buy it again. But before I do that, I need to look around to see if there's anything less messy. This product creates a large number of small pieces of cardboard around the scraper. Then part of it is caught and tracked through my house. I'll try putting it in a plastic container but it won't look good. At the same time, the tray doesn't look good either, so maybe they could live side by side. The most important thing to say here is that it does what it was designed to do. My cat loves it and uses it often.
