Really helps brighten up my sewing area. The LEDs are crisp white, but it doesn't seem that harsh when combined with the yellow line of bulbs in my sewing machine. While you can adjust it to fit your machine's neck, I decided to attach it to my handle since then I didn't have to cut it and I have light all the way around the back of my sewing machine. One note: this is USB powered and does not come with a power adapter. The chord on the lamp is not very long, so I decided to connect it to a USB drive. This works fine and I don't need another block to connect. I like that it has an on/off switch.
