I have rheumatoid arthritis and after moderate house work my feet and ankles swell up and make it really difficult to walk for more than a few hours. I heard a compression garment might help ease the swelling and give me "more spoons" to work with during the day and these definitely make the difference. Under my leggings they don't show at all and I was able to double my up and about time without nearly as much swelling. They are a little difficult to get one because of the soreness in my hands but once they're on I'm good to go!
