Review on πŸ“¦ Organize and Customize with the Ultimate Duncan Yo Parts Box by Eric Mueller

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I love this box but it's not perfect.

This is a GREAT box for MOST of my Duncan accessories but it has a flaw. It's just a little too small. It's beautifully built. The box has two sides; one larger and one for smaller components. Each side has snap-on plastic lids, the lid is split in half so you don't have to open it all the way every time. It has detachable baffles so you can make each component much wider. If you want you can remove all the walls and just have four large detail wells at the bottom and six wells at the top. However, you need to find a place to store the removed walls. HERE'S THE PROBLEM: If you look at the picture, you'll see that the freehand weights fit perfectly into one of the lower indentations. This only works with dice and skulls. The gummy balls are too big to fit in and removing the walls doesn't help and the pieces just aren't deep enough to hold the gummy ball. Likewise, the Duncan Mod stays are too large to fit comfortably in the lower indentations. You must remove at least one wall, then the large spacer rings just fit diagonally with one end of the spacer in the back corner. The chute is too small to stack them inside each other and since I don't have 4 in use I had to remove 2 walls in the top left corner to enlarge the compartment and stack all 4 in a checkerboard pattern. If I had more, I would have to remove the walls in another compartment. That little inconsistency aside, I LOVE this box. The design is elegant and professional. The lid has many small cells that will fit all of my various washers, bearing spacers, bearings, o-rings, batteries, etc. If he were a bit bigger, that would be perfect! If Duncan comes up with a larger professional version of this box I will buy it immediately!
