Purchased as part of a birthday present for a dancer preparing for a top performance. As other reviews have said, no needles, few flimsy threads, feels like they mailed it instead of making something beautiful out of it. Everything is there (except needles) but it's no more than one use, maybe two items. I agree with some other buyers that I felt I was paying for a pink BLOCH can and the idea of what it represented. I was disappointed with the little diagram of how and where to sew the ribbons. It was very small and difficult to read, it's not something for a dancer to spread out and look at and use, it's two inches by two inches and the kind of paper that curls up in humid air (like what you see in a dance takes place studio). That was the only reason I chose it, because the shape and diagram make it feel like a gift and make it attractive for a beginner in pointe dancing. I leave the box, add needles, get a small spool of thread to fit in the box, leave ribbons and order more, make a larger chart and laminate it, and fill the box with real items that will last. useful for more than one use, and make it something a functional dancer can use. So I'm not happy with it because I just have to make it the way I envisioned it, but it has the basic things I need to make it a good gift, so it's not a total loss, so I did not return it. Even a small seam ripper has the right scale and will come in handy. I wouldn't buy it again, but depending on what you're looking for, this might work. This would make a lovely gift for stockings or an extra gift for an established dancer who already has their own shoe prep process (or theirs, a few guys are now experimenting with pointe shoes too), once set up, the size is good for rocking. bag, and the glass is thick enough that it cannot be opened in a bag that is carried around everywhere.
