Review on ๐Ÿฑ Purina Fortiflora Nutritional Supplement for Cats - 2 Pack (Item #840235149217) by Cindy Moore

It was good for my almost 19 year old cat with CKD

So I have a almost 19 year old cat who developed Kidney Disease (CKD) in 2009 when Chinese melamine was at its peak. (We lost two other cats to kidney failure around the same time, but she was the youngest and survived after a few days at the vet.) So she's been on sub-Qs daily for ten years. In that time she's gone from 11lbs to 6-7lbs but she's still going strong. So I just dealt with bail old problems. For the past year she has had real trouble getting to her crate when she needs to poop and has loose stools. The vet recommended this a few months ago and she has started adding a sachet to her meals daily. It took 6-8 weeks to really see the difference but now she has come to her box and her poop is back to normal. (I was really concerned that we were at the point where we had to put her down because she was peeing in her box but defecating in places she shouldn't have been.) After a few months was on Fortiflora her bowel movements back to normal. now she comes to her box, i don't have to clean her butt and legs, and she really likes her "sprinkle" so i think she eats more. YMMV obviously, but I'll keep it on Fortifor until it stops working.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • So far so good
