The vet is sure of that.

My wife is the specialist you go to when your dog or cat is very, very ill. She is a walking medical text. She highly recommends this product. If our animals develop gastrointestinal problems or take antibiotics, they are prescribed immediately.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Appearance

Cats like the taste but too expensive.

Easy to sprinkle over groceries. Cats like the taste but too expensive. Only 30 packs in a box and the whole pack is an effective dose, so there is no point in using less than the whole pack. It comes out to about $1.00 for each package. $30.00 per month for a cat! So much money!

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Recommended by the vet and approved by the kitten. My joy!

I have been using Fortiflora for many years as my vets have always recommended it. My kittens recommend it too. When I add it to their wet food, they smile. I think they would even eat bad tasting food if I put a bag of it inside. In terms of benefits, I don't notice a huge difference, but like humans, I know probiotics have benefits because they love it so much and my vet highly recommends it. You will continue to receive it. I share 1 package between 2 cats.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Our cats liked the taste BUT

Our cats liked the taste but it gave one of them explosive diarrhea that he couldn't control. As soon as we stopped feeding him, his problems stopped. We have bowls that hold more than 4 cups of food and have used 1 packet per bowl every other day or two. So don't overload with the powder. I bought a double pack and we went through 1 box of 30 plus 3 packs from another box before figuring out what was causing his diarrhea. So now we have 27 packages that are wasted because we cannot send them…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

A bit pricey but good for cat diarrhea and cats love the taste.

A small bag of this stuff costs as much as the cat food I mix it with. However, cats are more likely to eat with it than without. At first I just sprinkled it on canned food and the cat ate it so greedily that it snorted and sneezed, so I learned to mix it into the food before serving. One of my cats has chronic diarrhea and after using Fortiflora her diarrhea changed from the consistency of pea soup to toothpaste and doesn't smell as bad.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

My cats are crazy about it!

My cats like it but I'm not sure if it helped with their digestive problems. I keep giving them this because they're all crazy about it. I could sprinkle them with drugs they don't need because they really like the taste. When they get sick and drink little, I put half a packet on top of a tablespoon of feed and make them a "gravy boat". All three are seriously crazy about it. I'm deducting a star because it's been four months of use and I haven't noticed any improvement in their digestive…

  • An absolute legend

Hard to Rate - Cats

This type of item is difficult to rate/review. I have 2 older cats and they both developed problems and our vet prescribed Fortiflora. At first it didn't bother either of them, but within a short time one of them was even eating wet food mixed with it. The other only ate dry food (cats!) and didn't mind. longer, but after a few months he didn't eat it either. It mixes well with wet food and seems to stick to dry food fairly well. I would have expected real probiotics to be ok too, but my cats…

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Great product!: Cats

I have a 7-9 year old little rescue cat who had a tough life until I got her two years ago. From her past she suffered from food anxiety. As a result, she began to vomit after eating. I went to the vet, wrote out prescriptions and eventually started lightly dusting her food with purine powder, which almost stopped the vomiting. It was such a huge improvement! So I feed them more often and in smaller portions. She doesn't know how to slow down and chew on chunks. Or if she gets hungry, the same…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I won't say anything

It was good for my almost 19 year old cat with CKD

So I have a almost 19 year old cat who developed Kidney Disease (CKD) in 2009 when Chinese melamine was at its peak. (We lost two other cats to kidney failure around the same time, but she was the youngest and survived after a few days at the vet.) So she's been on sub-Qs daily for ten years. In that time she's gone from 11lbs to 6-7lbs but she's still going strong. So I just dealt with bail old problems. For the past year she has had real trouble getting to her crate when she needs to poop and

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • So far so good
