This model is identical to the "Star Tech" model. I don't recommend spending a lot on them. I've had this model under both brand names and am disgusted to buy the second (TRENDnet) as I thought it could be better. What I am maroon. I'm a remote worker and need KVM for a dual monitor configuration - a work laptop and a home desktop. I use USB keyboard and mouse and DVI monitors. Pretty basic and not even the hottest technology. However, I have never managed to get my USB devices to work with them. I use an external USB switch for the USB devices I want to share between boxes. How painful. It's doable, but if you can find something else and afford it, buy it. Don't buy this. It's only marginally better than garbage. I would recommend picking the ones meant for use with servers. They're more expensive, but at least you know you're getting after-sales service and they're going to last.
