Over 20 years ago, we purchased plastic bistro chairs from Ikea with cushions. We purchased black and light grey colors. Over the years, we have recovered the cushions with various fabrics and clear vinyl which we stapled on to the wood backing. Recently I thought we needed another solution. That's where these covers come in. They have some padding to supplement the pads on the chairs and the vinyl is thick. Best of all, the elastic is strong. I even inserted additional pads into the chair cushions and they look great. I purchased the 15 inch covers for a 14.75 inch space. I am very pleased! I am not sure how durable they will be but they look sturdy.
