The postpartum dog developed mastitis; It was amazing while she recovered.
I got this for my Siberian Husky. Three weeks after the puppies were born, she developed mastitis. This was easily remedied with a trip to the vet and some antibiotics (.and some cabbage leaves which the vet attached to her nipples - don't judge too harshly it helps) but the problem was that when she was with her puppies, she tries to get them to babysit. The solution was this sock, a survival suit from Amazon. This kept even the most voracious wet nurses from getting to her nipples and allowed her to spend time with them while we weaned early.
