PRO-Waste and Recycling. One trash can is enough for three to four days of garbage collection for two people and keeps things fresh. The closure works well with other brands of bin liners, but does not always close smoothly. The smells don't go away. Quiet closing of the lid. CONS – Not exactly recyclable, item bottles fill up quickly. Our recycling needs to be sorted, making this process more tedious (but doable). There is a handle in both containers that allows you to remove the container from the jar. It's poorly constructed and if you squeeze the bin like we did there's a chance the bag will tear because the handle will scratch the side of the bag when the bag is pulled out. The handles are detachable, but then you can't pull out the bin to get the bag out. I had to fiddle with the jar and bag for three minutes to get through, then be careful not to rip the bag and fall on the floor if I drop it. Trust me, 3-5 minutes is a long time considering you can pull the pouch out in just 10 seconds. When replacing a new bag, it takes an additional 2 minutes to fiddle with the handle. Too much to think about a $150 pot. Needs a more thoughtful design for bag retrieval. Next time I would look for something less streamlined and more functional. Works, runs quietly and looks good. Just annoying handling. It takes up little space but doesn't look obnoxious.
