I love. This. Cap. My kids are on the small side in terms of head size so after reading the description and head circumference I decided on the 0-6 months size for my 6 month old daughter. First impression: the material is durable yet breathable. I like the adjustable elastic band around the perimeter of the hat. This allows you to create a more customized fit for your child's head. I also like the adjustable chin strap. The chin strap was my main selling point, but the fact that it's adjustable and has a breakaway clip that's stronger than the force of the wind but not as strong as anything that could cause a choking hazard is a huge bonus. With a little pressure on the chin strap, it can be easily removed. So I feel safe knowing that if her hat gets caught on anything, the chin strap will release immediately. I will be buying this hat in the next size up so we can have her as her head grows! Also, the shark pattern we chose is adorable. Pink goes with most of her wardrobe, and since it looks like camouflage, I think it's a pretty neutral pattern. Only if we look closely can we say that the "sharks" have gills and eyes. Buy this hat. EDIT: A year later and my now 20 month old baby still fits this 0-6 month old hat perfectly. I just had to undo the elastic around the perimeter and of course the chin strap. Otherwise it's in great condition and fits perfectly! EDIT 2: Another year has passed and this size (0-6 months) no longer fits my little toddler's head with the hatband fully undone. But it's still in great condition and I'll be looking for the same hat in a larger size to replace! and my now 20 month old baby still fits perfectly in this 0-6 month old hat.
