Great little sun hat

I bought this hat for my 11 month old son. He was born with a port wine birthmark on his face that we whitened with laser therapy. We must be very careful to keep his treated mole out of the sun to avoid skin discoloration. This hat did a great job of protecting us from the sun. The brims are wide enough to keep the sun off his entire face, but hard enough not to catch his eyes. The material is cool and doesn't scratch. I like it, that I can easily adjust the tightness of the hat and chin strap

The elastic band in the cap is visible and leaves marks on the child's head.

I would have given this hat a higher rating but I have seen different hats for boys made by the same company on my friends children sons (2) and it is made much better! I have a problem with the inner elastic, it leaves a huge red stain on my daughter's head because there is nothing on the elastic. It looks quite painful and might give her a headache! I love. This. Cap. My kids are on the small side in terms of head size so after reading the description and head circumference I decided on the 0-6 months size for my 6 month old daughter.
