Store-bought pasta is cheap and readily available, but nothing off the shelf tastes like homemade pasta. I needed an inexpensive no drama pasta maker that was fun and easy to use. I read dozens of reviews that kept me from taking the plunge of buying a pasta maker. Finally I came across this machine with no reviews and at a good price. It looked simple, sleek and streamlined with a stainless steel body. I decided it was finally worth trying. My pasta maker was well packaged with a very simple instruction manual. I carefully studied each part of it while reading the pamphlet. I had to do a simple assembly. There are no problems. The first step was a thorough cleaning of the machine from oil residues that formed during machining. I took my time and carefully cleaned every part of the car that I could reach. Then I attached it to my counter. I don't have enough molding on my rack to make a good secure attachment, but I was able to overcome this by opening the drawer, attaching the clip to the drawer, and then closing the drawer. It didn't close completely, but was enough to keep my "mess" out of the drawer and pasta maker securely on the counter. enough water for it to stick together into a ball. I used this dough to complete the cleaning process and to learn how to use the pasta machine. I kept making pasta sheets and then fettuccine pasta and angel hair. The task here was to inspect the machine and remove any burrs from production. There were definitely some burrs that fell off in the first few runs of the test, but there weren't that many and by the end I was sure they were all removed from the cutters. A few reviewers have mentioned the liberal use of flour when working with the dough and it really helped smooth out the process. When I was done with this dough, I threw it away and then gave the machine a thorough cleaning with a pastry brush and some more flour. My new pasta machine works great! Now I can make my own pasta and angel hair, and I also plan to bake flatbreads like flatbread and matzah with tin rolls. It doesn't take long to cook enough pasta for dinner, and the main pasta tastes great fresh with all sorts of sauces and veggies. I haven't found anything to fault with this car. I only wish I had done that sooner. Well, back to pasta!
