Review on Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon (2015-2022) Vehicle OCD Glove Box Organizer - Made in the USA by Thomas Unruh

UPDATE 9/2020: Having now had time to use this spacer I have downgraded it from 4 stars to 2 stars. Having my instruction manual on it made it very stable to hold in place. The problem was that the storage room for large items is upstairs and administration took up most of that space. I took out the manual and noticed the same problem as many others: it moves too much and everything gets out of the dividers. In addition, the narrow stabilizer at the bottom kept falling off. I glued it to the dividers and that solved the problem, but as others have pointed out it needs some mechanism to push and hold it in place. If it moves around in the glove box, all your stuff will just fall out and fall in a heap underneath. It is still being worked on and the manufacturer should work on improving the design. First review: Firstly, there were no instructions on how to assemble this. Since it's plastic and fragile, I took my time examining it. It does NOT "connect". The long tabs on the three vertical dividers actually slide into slots on the large horizontal shelf. They fit into a dovetail pattern. The smaller tabs will then snap into place if you're lucky. I've had uneven results with these smaller Goldilocks-like reeds: one was pretty loose, the other snapped just right, and one took so much effort I thought I might break it. The last piece to do is the stabilizer, which ends up at the bottom of your glove box. This part gave the same results as my previous bar: some were firmer than others. Once assembled, it fits perfectly in the glove compartment. I ended up putting the owner's manual and registration and insurance cards on top, then used the drawers underneath for other bits and pieces that I keep in the glove box. One issue I've noticed is that now that this unit is in the glove box, there's a ledge at the top right of the glove box that pushes so close to the organizer that you really can't store anything that side of the glove box . a box other than a small piece of paper. Once I live with it for a few weeks I'll update this review if necessary, but for now I'm glad I bought it. Oh, and if you haven't already, grab that tray that sits atop the center console armrest drawer: it's very well made and an absolute must. As others have said; This part should be standard equipment on these trucks.
